RORSCHACH  INKBLOT TEST

Hermann Rorschach was a Swiss psychoanalyst who created the controversial Rorschach Inkblot Test to measure social behavior. His interest included art and psychoanalysis particularly the work of Carl Jung. He died of peritonitis at age 37 in  Switzerland.

 Is a psychological test in which subject’s perception of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretations. Some psychologists used this test to examine a person’s personal characteristics and emotional functioning . General goal of this test is to provide data about cognition and perception of an individual

Rorschach consists of ten (10) mirror image cards.

Five (5)  achromatic (without color or black and white) cards.

Two (2) inkblots are in black ,red and white.

Three (3) inkblots are multicolored.

Administration

Free Association Phase:

 Test taker is instructed to tell what is on each of the card. “What might this be?” 

The inquiry Phase:

Examiner tends to determine what feature of the inkblot played role in formulating testtaker’s perception
